Why do we have two roller options for you?

The SKN Spin comes with either Titanium needles or Medical Grade Stainless Steel. When purchasing your SKN Spin be sure to choose which roller you prefer.

The reason we offer both is because there are rare instances that someone is allergic to titanium or Medical grade stainless steel we have decided to offer two roller options.

*It is important to know that both Medical Grade Stainless Steel and Titanium can contain small traces of nickel. Many people with a nickel allergy never have an adverse reaction to medical grade stainless steel or titanium but it is a possibility. If you have a nickel allergy always be sure to perform a patch test prior to performing the treatment on the entire face or body. A great place to patch test is the back of the neck. After the patch test wait up to 48 hours to see if the skin has a negative response. A negative response would be a rash, intense itchiness, burning sensation, red spots. Remember a Normal response to using the SKN Spin is a pinkish/red sunburn appearance, warm sensation, very slight sensation of itchiness that subsides within an hour, and your skin can feel sensitive for up to 24 hours.

1. The length of the needles – The SKN Spin is a 0.5mm roller and is the only roller length you will ever need.
2. The needle diameter – The SKN Spin needle diameter is 0.20mm. This is the perfect diameter to ensure maximum penetration without tearing the skin.
3. The SKN Spin has 192 needles. The reason for this is because anything over 200 is too many and prevents maximum penetration and anything below this number is too little and is to aggressive for the skin. 192 is the perfect number of needles to ensure maximum and safe penetration.
4. Made by machine – Many of the rollers on the market are hand glued - resulting in many flaws and safety issues (the main issue being uneven needle length). Our roller is made using an engineer set modular system ensuring each roller is made to perfection.

Who created the roller?

The SKN Spin was created by an acupuncturist and owner of an award winning skin clinic in Vancouver who also specializes in cosmetic acupuncture and medical skin needling. She has treated thousands of clients using natural needle based modalities achieving amazing results. She wanted to ensure her clients were using the best possible dermal roller at home. So after a year of research - testing the main rollers on the market ranging from $5 - $200 - she created the perfect roller at an affordable price.
